The inspiration to open a school began for Laura when her son, Jake — now 39 — attended his very first day of preschool. That experience sparked a vision she was determined to bring to life. In 1989, she founded Marin Enrichment in the downstairs of her Greenbrae home. Her three children, Jake, Meagan, and Caitlin, are proud Marin Enrichment graduates who went on to attend the University of Washington, UC Berkeley, and UCLA, respectively.
As Marin Enrichment grew, Laura moved the school to the Bacich Campus, creating a seamless bridge from preschool to kindergarten. There, she also launched an after-school program that continues to serve children of all ages. Laura’s presence on campus radiates warmth and positivity, fostering an atmosphere of kindness, connection, and love that touches every student, family, and staff member.
Today, one of Laura’s greatest joys is being “Grandma” to six wonderful grandchildren. She’s especially excited to celebrate her eldest three — Henry, Louie, and Ruthie — as members of Marin Enrichment’s graduating class of 2025.
Caitlin has dreamed of working with children and leading Marin Enrichment for as long as she can remember. A proud alumna of Marin Enrichment, Bacich, Kent, and Redwood, she went on to earn her degree in Psychology and Theater from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2014. While at UCLA, she competed in Cross Country and Track & Field for four years, earning the title of Most Inspirational Runner in 2013 — and she still starts every morning with a run on Mt. Tam.
Her passion for education brought her back to Marin Enrichment every summer as a volunteer. In 2014, upon graduating from UCLA, she trained to become Director — a role she has embraced wholeheartedly ever since. Under her leadership, Marin Enrichment has continued to thrive as a joyful, nurturing space where children feel known, supported, and inspired.
Caitlin treasures connecting with students each day, whether she’s joining in play, sparking curiosity, or reading a favorite story. One of her most beloved read-alouds is Flap Your Wings by P.D. Eastman, which always leaves her classroom filled with smiles and laughter.
