Meet Our Team

Laura Schmitt

Opening a school was Laura’s dream ever since her son, Jake who is now 34, went to his first day of preschool, she founded Marin Enrichment in 1989 in the downstairs of her Greenbrae home. Her children, Jake, Meagan, and Caitlin are all graduates from Marin Enrichment, University of Washington, UC Berkeley, and UCLA respectfully. 


Marin Enrichment continued to grow as it moved to The Bacich Campus creating a smooth transition from Preschool to Kindergarten. On this campus Laura was able to open an after school program benefitting children of all ages.  The joy that Laura brings to campus when she walks in the door creates an atmosphere of warmth, kindness, and love. 


Most importantly, Laura is a recent grandma to triplets! She couldn't be more excited to have Henry, Louie, and Ruthie in the 2025 graduating class at Marin Enrichment!

Caitlin Schmitt

Caitlin had dreams of working with children and Directing Marin Enrichment her entire life. She is an alumnus of Marin Enrichment, Bacich, Kent, Redwood and graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2014. At UCLA she studied Psychology and Theater and ran four years Cross Country and Track & Field. She was named Track & Field’s Most Inspirational Runner of 2013 and continues to run on Mt. Tam every morning. Her passion for working with children brought her back each summer to volunteer at Marin Enrichment and in 2014 was named Director.  Her favorite book to read to the students is Flap Your Wings by P.D. Eastman.

Aidan Durgerian

Aidan graduated from UC Santa Cruz in 2019 with a degree in Environmental studies. He has coached youth soccer since high school and currently pursuing his early childhood education degree at Foothill College. His favorite childhood book series is The Magic Treehouse by Mary Pope Osborne.

Grace Baker

Grace graduated from UCLA in 2019 with a Bachelors degree in Psychology with a concentration in Sports Psychology and Sports Media.  She has been a lifeguard and swimming instructor for eight years and has coached year-round competitive swimmers of all ages and abilities from youth to senior to triathletes. During the past two summers Grace was trained by the fire department as a first responder in Capitola and Dana Point where she taught lifesaving skills such as CPR and First Aid to junior lifeguards ages 6-16. More recently, Grace has been a volunteer online tutor where she helped disabled K-12 students navigate virtual learning. 

Her favorite childhood book is When the Sun Rose by Barbara Helen Berger.

Gwen Wagner

Gwen graduated from Cal Poly San Lus Obispo in 2019 with a degree in English Literature. She is currently in grad school studying to get her paralegal certificate. Gwen has a passion for art, music, and reading. She began working at Marin Enrichment during our summer camp in 2016 and we are thrilled to now have her for the full school year. Her favorite children’s book is Stellaluna, a must read! 

Nicole Caro del Castillo

Nicole Caro del Castillo is currently pursuing a communication degree. She is so exited to be joining this wonderful team and working with your kids. She has 3 years of experience working with children and is so excited to continue her passion in early childhood education. One of her favorite childhood books is The Nutcracker by E.T.A Hoffmann.

Geary Aubert

Geary Aubert has been part of the Marin Enrichment family and Kentfield School District her whole life. She attended Marin Enrichment in 2003 and her mom, Melissa Stephens, is a 5th grade teacher at Kent Middle School. She is currently pursuing her World Arts and Cultures degree at UCLA. Her little brother, JJ is currently attending our distance learning hub too! Geary’s favorite childhood book to read is Marcel the Pastry Chef by Marianna Mayer

Lada Tsibulya

Lada graduated from Moscow University with Masters Degree in World history and Political Science.

Throughout Lada's entire career she has experienced working with preschool students all the way up to High Schoolers. Lada found her joy once again at the preschool level with us at Marin Enrichment in 2017. She loves art, music, cooking and cant wait to share this love with children. Her favorite book to read is Mixed A Colorful Story by Arree Chung.

Maddie Crowe

Maddie has been working with children all her life. She joined Marin Enrichment two years ago and is back with the team again while continuing her education at Santa Rosa Junior College studying child and adolescent psychology. Maddie is an artist, dancer, and creative writer outside of work and school. Her favorite children’s book is The Boxcar Children by Gertrude Chandler.

Mackenzie LeBuhn

Mackenzie  is currently a senior at Tamalpais High school. She has been a tutor for students of all ages for the last three years with a focus on math and science but has experience teaching all subjects. She loves art, reading, and music. She is so excited to join the team and get to know all of your kids! Her favorite childhood book is Runny Babbit by Shel Silverstein!
